Small red fruits very powerful in taste, but also very delicate and sensitive.

You have to be very careful and cautious to make such a raspberry jam. Indeed, it is important to treat the fruit with great respect, otherwise, the result will not be as expected.

And when you taste this delight, when you rediscover all the scent of fresh raspberries, you will not be disappointed and will benefit from a unique know-how, that of sister jam makers.

Become a monk or a nun?

How? 'Or' What ?

Responding to the call involves a leap in confidence: setting out with Christ and letting the Holy Spirit write the scenario of our life's adventure with Him.

Considering the evolution of the different forms of consecrated life and of the societies in which they take shape, the Church has developed precious benchmarks for formation for the life of a disciple of Christ.

From now on, three main stages punctuate the first years: the postulancy, the novitiate, the time of temporary profession.
Become a disciple

Formation for contemplative monastic life is based on a personal encounter with the Lord. It begins with the call of God and the decision of each one to follow, according to her own charism, in the footsteps of Christ, as a disciple, under the action of the Holy Spirit (no. 221).

Graduation

[This formation] must be organized, gradual and coherent in its different stages, because it is called to promote the development of the person in a harmonious and progressive way, while fully respecting the uniqueness of each one (n ° 226).

Initial formation is structured in three consecutive stages: the postulancy, the novitiate, and the period of temporary profession (no. 251).

Maturation

Keeping in mind that the person is built very slowly, and that the formation must be attentive to root in the heart “the feelings of Christ towards his Father” and the proper human, Christian and charismatic values, “a period of time sufficiently long must be reserved for initial formation ”(no. 253).

Discernment

During this time "a serene discernment, free from any concern of number or effectiveness" must be implemented. In addition, in each monastery, special attention must be paid to spiritual and vocational discernment, ensuring personalized support for candidates and promoting an appropriate formation path, paying particular attention to ensuring that formation is truly integral - human. , Christian and charismatic - and touches all dimensions of the person (no. 254).

Extracts from the Instruction "Cor Orans" (chapter V: Formation) for the application of the Apostolic Constitution "Vultum Dei quærere" on the contemplative life of women, of May 15, 2018.
