For more than a century, the Abbey of Sainte Marie du Désert has been a haven of peace where men of time and time have taken a step back from the world and for the world. Prayer and work have punctuated the days of monks for several centuries already. Today it is with regret that the community has to leave the abbey. The Village of François wants to continue the work done, certainly differently but always with the same desire. Serve the poorest through community life and economic activity.
